Aug 1, 2012 Arnold & Porter: Named to National Law Journal's Intellectual Property Hot List
Arnold & Porter LLP has been named to the National Law Journal’s (NLJ’s) inaugural Intellectual Property Hot List. Arnold & Porter was one of 20 firms selected that “excel in providing patent, copyright and trademark legal services.” Arnold & Porter was noted for the growth of the firm’s intellectual property practice. “Arnold & Porter has built its intellectual property practice group to handle the growing demands imposed by ever-changing technology,” adding 29 IP attorneys to the group in the last year. NLJ discussed a diversity of practice group victories, including: the firm’s $100 million victory for a consortium of sports leagues in copyright royalty litigation; its representation of Crocs, Inc. in blocking import of shoes infringing the company’s design patents; and its successful representation of domain registry company, VeriSign Inc. in CFIT v. ICANN.
