Chandler MHM is advising the lender on the project financing of a solar power project to a Vietnamese borrower, Truong Thanh Quang Ngai Power and High Technology Joint - Stock Company, which is a joint venture company between Sermsang Power Corporation Public Company Limited and a Vietnamese joint venture partner.
This is a complex cross-border deal, as there have not been many precedent transactions for financing of renewable power projects in Vietnam and is arguably the first project financing by a Thai financial institution to a Vietnamese borrower. VILAF has also acted as legal counsel to the lender. The lead partners are Jessada Sawatdipong and Pranee Klinratana.
