Dolores María Cedrone
1. Briefly describe your practice and whom you work with.
I joined Bruchou, Fernández Madero & Lombardi Abogados in 2015. My practice mainly focuses on mergers & acquisitions and general corporate legal services, and I have vast experience in the renewable energy field (mainly wind power). I also advise companies on competition and antitrust matters and frequently participate in the activities organized by Foro Competencia (a competition national forum) or by the Antitrust Commission of the Colegio de Abogados de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires (a local professional association).
2. You recently participated in the Young Lawyers Virtual Summer Program. What was a key takeaway for you?
I have really had a great experience during the Program. I mainly enjoyed the Open Mic session with Maria Elisa Gualandi Verri! Networking sessions, pen pal connections, and the Regional Roundtable session, as well, were great opportunities to meet and interact with young lawyers from many different jurisdictions. I have learned lots of interesting information about other countries and cultures, and their legal practice. I think it is very important to see how other lawyers are working worldwide and to confirm that irrespective of cultural differences, we have very similar goals, clients, and careers.
3. When the pandemic is behind us, where is the first place you'd like to travel?
I would love to travel to Spain and Portugal, a pending trip that I was planning before the pandemic spread began. As I have some family and friends based in Spain, it would be great to meet them again. And of course, to visit cities I have never been to!

1. You recently participated as a mentee in the Young Lawyers Virtual Summer Program. What was a key takeaway or observation for you based on the experience with the young lawyers in your session?
Mentorship is always rich due to the opportunity of exchanging experiences; I always feel that I learn something while interacting with young lawyers, and specifically in this interaction the conversation involved so many different topics, I felt that it flowed really well; I hope that while openly sharing the challenges that I faced during my career I somehow encouraged them to focus on their way ahead.
2. Your firm has hosted WLG interns in the past. As a firm leader, what value do you see in these arrangements?
Having the firm participate in the IEP program clearly helps spread the knowledge about WLG among associates and the importance of creating a network. It is also an opportunity for us to more closely share and learn about the practices and cultures of the firms involved. Having participated for many years now, we are certainly enthusiastic about it.
3. As the new Americas Regional Director, what impact do you hope to have in the region?
It will be an honor to represent the Americas on the Board and in WLG activities, and I look forward to continuing to promoting the involvement and participation of the member firms from the region.
