Deutsche Bahn Sells Part of Transfesa Group Business to Boluda Shipping

Cuatrecasas has advised the Deutsche Bahn Group, the German state railway operator, on selling part of the Transfesa Group business to Boluda Shipping.

Following this transaction, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2025, Transfesa Group activities will be under the leadership of two major business groups: DB Cargo and Boluda Corporación Marítima.

As part of its transformation, the Deutsche Bahn Group will concentrate its activities in Spain on the automotive sector (transport and logistics) and international freight transport.

Intermodal rail freight transport activities in the Iberian Peninsula, excluding automotive traffic, along with rail maintenance, shunting, and terminal services, will be integrated into Boluda.
