Eight Sayenko Kharenko Lawyers Elected to UBA Committees

Published on Jan 9, 2026

Sayenko Kharenko has secured representation on nine out of twenty-two committees within the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA) for the 2026-2027 term — the second-highest number among Ukrainian law firms. The firm’s lawyers will serve on councils covering intellectual property, competition law, energy, litigation, and international arbitration, among other practice areas.

The UBA is Ukraine’s largest professional legal association, bringing together over 3,500 lawyers, in-house counsel, and legal academics. Its specialist committees function as expert working groups that review draft legislation, provide official opinions to government bodies and international organisations, and establish professional standards for the Ukrainian legal market.

Committee council members are elected by their peers through a competitive process involving programme presentations and electronic voting. Council membership positions lawyers at the centre of policy discussions and legislative development in their respective fields.

For clients, this means practical advantages: early visibility of regulatory changes before they reach parliament, direct input into how new laws may be interpreted and applied, and access to expertise that actively shapes Ukraine’s evolving legal framework in business-critical areas.
