Engel Strengthens Presence in Spain with Acquisition of Roegele

Cuatrecasas has advised the Austrian injection moulding machinery manufacturer Engel Austria GmbH on the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Helmut Roegele, S.A., its long-standing commercial partner in Spain.

The transaction marks a key step in Engel’s consolidation in southwestern Europe, as the company will now be represented in Spain through its own subsidiary. The integration ensures continuity through a team that has already been established locally for decades, now aligned with and enjoying direct access to the technology, service, and portfolio of solutions offered by the Engel Group worldwide, ranging from injection moulding machines and automation to digital support systems.

Since 1972, Roegele has supported clients in sectors such as automotive, packaging, medical, and technical moulding, providing sales, technical support, training, and consulting services related to Engel’s injection moulding solutions. Following the transaction, clients will continue working with the same trusted contacts and will benefit from their knowledge of the local market.
