At WLG | summit Riga '25, Laimonas Skibarka of Sorainen presented a landmark cross-border transaction involving fellow member firm Bech-Bruun. The deal, representing the largest M&A in the Baltic region in a decade, centered on the €1.3 billion acquisition of Rimi Baltic by the Danish-based Salling Group.
The scale of the transaction required an intensive due diligence process completed within a five-week timeframe. A coordinated team of 60 professionals managed over 9,000 documents and 3,300 billable hours to ensure successful execution. This collaboration highlights the network’s capacity for high-value international transactions and reflects the increasing economic sophistication of the Baltic market.
