The life sciences sector continues to evolve rapidly. What recent developments—legal, regulatory, or technological—do you think will have the greatest impact on how your clients protect and manage their intellectual property?

The biggest recent developments are the EU pharmaceutical package, including changes to data and market protection, changes to the Bolar exemption, and continued evolution of SPC practice. Together, these developments will shift how innovators combine patents, regulatory data exclusivity, and enforcement timing. On top of that, AI is changing how portfolios are built and managed.

Many of your clients operate in highly regulated and innovation-driven sectors. What intellectual property challenges are you most often helping them navigate today?

Most often, I help clients with global partnerships and strategic licensing. Increasingly, clients also need practical AI governance to protect inventions, data, and trade secrets.

How do you expect World Law Group to enhance how you support your clients on cross-border intellectual property matters?

All our clients are navigating a heavily regulated, fast-moving, and global reality, impacted by a challenging geopolitical situation. World Law Group strengthens our cross-border support by making it easier to run one coordinated strategy or approach across many jurisdictions.

Is there something outside the law that you’re especially passionate about?

Outside the law, I am deeply passionate about healthcare and public health, which also drew me to work in life sciences in the first place. I am also interested in applied technology, particularly how AI can be implemented responsibly in real businesses and in our lives in general.

More privately, I love spending time in the Danish countryside at our family summer house, enjoying nature, and cooking with and for friends and family.
