Briefly describe your role.

I focus my practice on USA trade compliance and international regulatory issues, advising companies across industries to navigate a fast-changing and high-stakes global trade landscape. My work centers on import and export regulations, forced labor compliance, economic sanctions, and national security-related matters. I regularly advise clients on laws and regulations administered by key American agencies, including CBP, OFAC, BIS, USITC, USTR, DDTC, and Census.
With trade developments accelerating—especially in areas like tariffs, export controls, supply chain enforcement, and foreign investment—I work closely with multinational corporations, small businesses, and individuals to manage risk, stay compliant, and respond strategically to shifting legal and geopolitical pressures. I’m particularly focused on helping clients understand the real-world impact of evolving American trade policy. I’ve been fortunate to contribute regularly to conversations around these issues through speaking engagements and thought leadership.

As a leader of WLG’s Trade Task Force, you’re helping guide the July 10 session on what’s happening post-90-day pause. What developments are you most anticipating or watching closely as that period comes to an end?

The different countries that are meeting with the President and his public statements or Truth Social posts about those meetings. Although President Trump spoke negatively about negotiations with the EU, he has now said they are having good meetings. He has mentioned India positively. However, regardless of whether meetings are good, we believe the 10% is here to stay for the next 3.5 years and countries can only go up from there.

Outside of your work in trade law, what’s something you enjoy or find energizing?

I love my weekends with my two daughters, Deirdre and Maeve, yoga, running, and walks with my dogs. When I don’t want to think about tariffs, I like to read fantasy or sci-fi fiction books!
