Rafael Fontana Receives Cross of the Order of Saint Raymond of Peñafort

Rafael Fontana, honorary chair of Cuatrecasas, has been awarded the Distinguished Cross, First Class, of the Order of Saint Raymond of Peñafort. The Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Parliamentary Relations, Félix Bolaños, presented him with the decoration at a ceremony held in the auditorium of Complutense University of Madrid.

The distinction was granted in July 2023 by the then Minister of Justice, Pilar Llop, following a nomination by the Saint Raymond of Peñafort Association of Jurists and Legal Professionals. The honor recognizes Fontana’s distinguished career and contribution to the advancement of the legal sector.

Established in 1944, the Order of Saint Raymond of Peñafort is one of Spain’s foremost legal distinctions. It recognizes the achievements of professionals associated with the administration of justice, as well as their dedication to the study, advancement, and practice of law.
