Zlata Symonenko was elected to the Board of the UBA
During the XXII regular session of the Legal Assembly of the All-Ukrainian Non-Governmental Organisation "Ukrainian Bar Association” (UBA), new leadership was elected. Zlata Symonenko, Counsel at Sayenko Kharenko, was elected to the UBA Board for the 2025-2027 term as a representative from the Kyiv department.
Zlata Symonenko has been practising law for over 16 years, focusing on criminal justice. She specialises in dispute resolution, business security, and protecting clients’ interests at all stages of criminal proceedings involving economic and corruption crimes. Additionally, she has extensive experience in handling applications to the European Court of Human Rights.
As a UBA Board member, Zlata Symonenko has presented an ambitious programme for modernising Ukraine’s legal community, aimed at creating modern, convenient, and effective working conditions for lawyers. Her primary goal is to enhance the quality of work in the professional environment by ensuring rapid access to legal documents, which will significantly impact the operations of Ukrainian businesses.
These improvements are particularly significant as Ukraine works to align its legal system with European standards while maintaining judicial independence and the rule of law during ongoing challenges.
