Arendt & Medernach Streamlines Sustainability Strategy During WLG | impact

Arendt & Medernach (Luxembourg) streamlined its sustainability strategy by focusing on strong fundamentals: its people, the environment, innovation, and education. Arendt’s longstanding commitment to environmental protection is reflected in a variety of initiatives including the rollout of an extensive firmwide recycling policy and the establishment of a fleet of electric cars, electric bikes and kick-scooters for use by employees. These efforts have earned Arendt & Medernach the SuperDrecksKescht Label, a recognition created by the Luxembourg government to encourage and acknowledge companies that have built sustainable waste management programs and infused sustainability into their corporate culture.

As part of ongoing efforts to minimize consumption and make all of the firm’s offices more sustainable, several products used by employees on a daily basis have been replaced with environmentally friendly alternatives. Since April, Arendt has commissioned an inclusive workshop for disabled individuals to provide handmade, organic soap for all toilets and kitchenettes. The firm has also added new products for staff consumption, including a selection of organic and vegan teas and chocolates that are grown and packaged in an ecocogically sustainable way.
