TozziniFreire (Brazil) raised awareness of environmental issues during WLG | impact. The firm hosted an event—The firm hosted an event—Mobility in the 21st Century: Sustainable Practices and the Future of Automobiles. The initiative gathered several associates and administrative staff in a hybrid format.
The event was led by Environmental Law partner Bianca Bilton Signorini Antacli and Senior Associate Victor Fonseca, and head of ThinkFuture, the first innovation program structured by a Brazilian full-service law firm. Conversations included talk about the definition of ESG and its impact on society;
how smart cities will work and what will the city of the future be like; green mobility and the readjustment of the urban structure as a whole, including policies that reduce the need to travel long distances; recyclable sneakers; electric cars and how they relate to technology and sustainability; and car sharing, public transportation, and green hydrogen buses. Additionally, participants reflected on how law firms, lawyers, and the private practice can contribute to this reality.
The initiative aimed to replace day-to-day environmental discussions with ones on how the environment relates to business.
