1. Share with us something new and interesting about your firm.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the imposed lockdown here in Argentina, we had to implement a home-office scheme for almost all of 2020 in order for our Mining team to keep up with the dynamic demand of legal services in the current environment. For such purpose, we strengthened our internal cloud software and also organized periodical zoom meetings aimed not only to keep each other updated on our work but also to preserve our personal bonds and support each of our colleagues during these hard times. While the pandemic continues, we consider it vital to support personal relations in order to endure in such challenging times.
2. What is one relationship you've made through World Law Group that has been important to your practice?
We had the pleasure of connecting with Goodmans (Ontario, Canada) through David Wiseman and Kari MacKay at their Toronto offices in our last visit there. Goodmans’ globally recognized expertise and thorough background in the mining sector is always a key prospect to connect with when seeking an opinion and precise input regarding the current trends of the mining market.
3. Tell us about your favorite restaurant. What is it and why is it your favorite?
In Buenos Aires, the offerings are huge. I can’t select one – Olivetti has excellent Italian food and a great wine list. Rio Alba, a traditional “parrilla” in the Palermo area is excellent. Oviedo, a great Spanish cuisine restaurant has excellent service. Pétanque – great French food bistro. I can go on...great food, excellent service and a smart wine list marks my list.
4. Tell us about any recent client, marketing or other collaboration with a WLG member firm.
Our mining department is fairly new to WLG, so we haven’t had much experience yet working within the network but hopefully soon. Mining activity is on the rise and Argentina is no exception.
