Global Cannabis Guide Launched

We are very pleased to announce the release of the World Law Group (“WLG”) Cannabis Guide 2020. With respect to any vapor or smoking hemp products, it is unlawful in Tennessee to sell, distribute to, or purchase on behalf of any person under the age of 18. In July 2019, amendments to the Tennessee “Prevention of Youth Access to Tobacco, Smoking Hemp and Vapor Products Act” went into effect to include the prohibition of smoking hemp products to minors. In part, the Act provides for certain prohibitions and requirements to which retailers of vapor or smoking hemp products must adhere.

As a result of a recent decision of the Québec Superior Court (QSC), residents in Québec are no longer prohibited from growing or possessing cannabis plants at home for personal purposes.

On 1 January 2018, a four-year medicinal cannabis pilot programme was introduced in Denmark. The programme is regulated by the Danish Act no. 1668/2017 on the Medicinal Cannabis Pilot Programme, as amended.
